Online store terms and conditions
The general terms and conditions stated below are in effect when placing orders on the online store. Please note that the terms and conditions may change. By placing an order for our products, you consent to the terms and conditions of sale.
An order can be placed in our online store at https://carinablomqvist.fi/, over the phone, via e-mail or by visiting our store. Carina Blomqvist Design reserves the right to sell out products and potentially display incorrect information related to stock availability due to sold out products. We send out an order confirmation to confirm the availability of products and the estimated time of delivery. You must be at least 18 years of age in order to place an order in our online store. A person under 18 years of age must provide us with their guardian’s written consent in order to place an order in the online store. By purchasing products in our online store or subscribing to our newsletter, you accept the valid terms and conditions of sale and assure that the information you have provided us is correct. All products that we sell can be used in Finland. Please note that you may have to present a valid proof of identity (passport, driving licence or identity card) in order to receive your parcel.
The prices of Carina Blomqvist Design online store include value added tax. The price we charge for the products always includes value added tax. Offer prices are valid for the stated duration. Discounted prices and offers that do not have a separately defined period of validity are valid for as long as the products are available. Delivery costs are added to the sum total of your order (the standard delivery fee is EUR 9.90 if the total weight of the order and the parcel is under 35 kg). The delivery fee can be significantly higher if the ordered product is large or made to order. We reserve the right to revise the delivery fee and to confirm the final delivery fee in the order confirmation. The customer has the right to cancel the order if they do not accept the confirmed delivery charge. Carina Blomqvist Design reserves the right to potential mistakes related to information and prices displayed in our online store. We reserve the right to revise the order within the limits defined by the Finnish Consumer Protection Act. We seek to inform the customer quickly about any potential mistakes or price changes in the order confirmation.
Terms of delivery
The stock levels are low and most of the products are made to order. The delivery time is 1–3 weeks from payment. The orders placed in our online store are shipped with Posti or, if necessary, Matkahuolto. The parcel is delivered to a Posti pickup point or Parcel Locker. When the order is shipped, the customer receives the tracking ID via SMS or e-mail. Make sure to collect your order quickly as Posti stores the parcel for seven (7) days only.
Returns and exchanges
Products that are made to order cannot be returned or exchanged.
If the product we have delivered is faulty, you must send Carina Blomqvist Design a written complaint without delay and within the warranty period by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org. A reasonable time for filing the complaint is two (2) weeks from detecting the fault. We will estimate whether the product is faulty after you have filed the complaint. We will primarily try to fix the fault within warranty. Alternatively, we can send out a new product to replace the faulty one. Depending on the product, we can ask the customer to return the original product if it will be replaced with a new product. We will then deliver a return address label with the new product. The original item can be returned using the same parcel. In case of disputes, we will consult the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority and adhere to their recommendations. As a customer, you have the right to dispute a case by referring it to the Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi/en/). Before referring the case to the Consumer Disputes Board, you must contact the Consumer Advisory Services (www.kkv.fi/en/consumer-advice/).
The Finnish Consumer Protection Act protects your rights as a customer and is valid when ordering our products. Contact email@example.com to request information or report a damaged delivery. Because the products are coloured by hand, some variation related to the darkened areas is possible and is not regarded as a fault. Colours that are virtually displayed on a computer screen might also slightly differ from the actual colours of the products.
Processing of personal data
We process the personal data you have provided us according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union. We use your personal data for the following purposes and store your personal data for as long as they are needed for these purposes.
– Order confirmation, delivering the order and processing any potential questions related to the delivery
– Customer service purposes – Sending out catalogues and offers
– Sending e-mails to our customers
– Credit checks
We may also outsource our services and share personal data with the service providers handling outsourced tasks (known as data processors) that only process data in order to provide services on our behalf and in accordance with the instructions provided by our company. Data processors help us e.g. with the handling of the following matters:
– Payment solutions (credit card companies, banks and other payment service providers)
– Marketing (print and distribution, social media channels, media and marketing agencies)
– IT services (service providers that provide maintenance, upkeeping and user support related to our data processing systems)
– Customer service
You have the right to:
– obtain information about which of your personal data we have stored, and to demand the correction, deletion or restriction of the processing of your personal data
– prohibit the use of your personal data for marketing purposes
– obtain the personal data you have knowingly provided to the data controller and transfer the data from one register to another (e.g. from one online service to another)
– send a complaint to the Data Protection Ombudsman in case you think our company does not adhere to the obligations defined in the General Data Protection Regulation.
